Cotton growth
Cotton production is responsible for a substantial part of the world’s pollution by using the highest
consumption per unit area of pesticides and insecticides. The production of cotton uses 12% of
all pesticides and insecticides worldwide!

Organic Cotton
Organic Cotton is grown without the use of these pesticides and insecticides. With this, the
quality of the land, air and water in the production areas will be protected or even improved
considerably for future generations to enjoy.

Areas
Major production areas are China, India, United States, Pakistan and Brazil. There are also many
other concentrated production areas like the ones in and around Turkey.
